Casey goes over paperwork when his drum kit is taken over by Random. Fiona sent Random to talk to Casey about being a guide in the BZ. Casey agrees.
Sergei works on landscaping and the black house while laborers work on repairing his manor. He makes plans for furniture.
Kei takes a Trump call from Merlin regarding the demons she was looking for: Fazkle in Helgram, Shegworm a free agent working construction in Chaos, and Zangor in Argent. Random calls to say he wants her along for the BZ visit.
Rune calls Kei to show her Trumps he made of his attackers as well as the Trump his student (possessed by the Marquis) made.
Meira takes a bath as her luggage is delivered. She finds an item she didn’t pack: a silver chain with a stylized squid pendant. She puts it on, dresses, and lays out goods.
Fatima hopes for something from the house elves, and goes for a walk, where she runs into Rune. She takes him to Meira, where Rune sees a seagull in the room. Rune takes Meira out to see the town.
Sergei, out shopping, notices a man come into the store who pulls a gun on him. Sergei breaks the shroudling’s wrist, holds onto him, and psychically pummels him. The shroudling pulls toward the glass, and Sergei breaks his neck. He gets no answer from Rinaldo’s Trump, and so calls Rune. Rune suggests that Sergei put the body on ice and send it to the castle, and then send a note to Kei about it.
Kei goes looking for Zangor, gets called by Random, and meets Casey. They go to the Courts, then walk out to the BZ. Casey and Kei chat and size one another up.
Fatima goes for a walk, then Trumps Ambrose and Clarissa regarding Rinaldo. They haven’t seen him, but seem to be in some danger from Kaji’s poor driving. Fatima calls Jasra.
Casey recognizes the place -- backwater, near-human sentients. The religious sect removes brains from a body and puts it into a canister. The three hit a bar for info. The place has magically enhanced tech, much like Argent. Kei checks for the cult’s numbers in public records, and also finds the High Hoo-Ha’s name is Dazan. They go looking for a staging area for the attacks.
Sergei brings the body to the castle. He Trumps Llewella to discuss it.
Fatima talks to Jasra regarding Rinaldo. Afterward, there is a gift certificate to the “Love Shack” in her “in” box.
Rune and Meira hit wine dealers, mirror merchants, weaponry places. Meira notices that Rune walks to avoid something she cannot see. Rune takes her on a dirigible flight. Kei Trumps Rune for assistance with the cathedral-staging ground that she, Random, and Casey have found. Rune returns Meira to her room and Trumps to Kei.
Fatima, Vialle, Llewella, Fiona, Rune’s girlfriend Zaraia, and Sergei are having dinner when Meira arrives and joins them.
Rune works on dampening the use of Trump in the cathedral. Kei collects twitchy ghosts to rattle the psyche types, and Casey holds the Logrus up, which no one likes. ;-p Rune Trumps the group back to Random to report. Rune then Trumps the group back to Demon Town to return Casey home; Kei heads home as well. Random and Rune join the dinner group.
Sergei and Fatima discuss the shroudling; Fiona and Meira discuss pharmaceuticals. Fiona calls Casey and invites him to dinner. Rune checks in with Zurea, and sees ravens all around her.
Kei goes to the castle and does a brief autopsy on the shroudling. She finds retractable canines in its jaw and human flesh in its stomach. She conjures its spirit; it says that it attacked Sergei in retaliation for Sergei’s attack on one of its own people. It gives the name Rickard as a leader of its people.
Rune leaves. Fatima and Kei discuss canisters, etc, then re-join the others at the dinner table. Kei reports to Sergei on the shroudling.

Fatima and Rune go drinking and dancing after they find that the “Love Shack” is a sex toy store.
Rune takes his girlfriend to a doctor.
Fatima checks in on her missing siblings with the Raven; still no word from Rinaldo. She trumps Julian regarding canister attacks in the south forest.
Meira visits the trade minister. Casey does business. They meet for business dealings.

Kei looks for Zangor once more. He reports that the Marquis Aber’s family had a curse on it that affected their Logrus use. They used magical constructs, not demons.
Fatima calls Merlin, who is amazingly in his office.
Random calls Kei regarding SWAT teams. She agrees to go as a team member.
Casey greets Landric Helgram. He’s heard of Casey’s travels and association with the royals. Helgram is interested in the BZ shadow the group recently visited. Helgram describes the shadow as a strategic asset. Casey shoots Helgram and cleans up. Meira hears a gunshot and leaves Casey’s. Casey sends a runner to Sergei. Rune Trumps Meira and gives her a Trump of herself.
Llewella Trumps Kei regarding the shroudlings and agrees to contact their leader. Llewella then discusses this with Meira.
Fatima Trumps Bleys, who is choosing outfits. Fatima sets him straight on the nature of the mission. Swords, man! She then calls Fiona for Trump help.

Rune talks to Fiona -- she’s going on a ninja run! He tells her about Aber and his arrival via Trump foolery.

Fiona and Bleys are ready with Fatima, then Casey shows up. Meira sees the group through an open doorway and sees that Sergei is dressed to leave. She goes to have dinner with Merlin. Random arrives at the barracks and collects the troops.
The frontal assault causes the greatest casualties for the Argent forces. Within the edifice is half a dozen Chaos Lords. The Argent forces neutralize the objective and kill the Chaos Lords. Two of these are definitely Helgram; Kei beheads them and sends their heads to their House.
Rune gives Meira three Trumps of herself (total), as well as a deck of the PCs and Merlin.
A note delivered to Fatima by courier: “Rinaldo found and is well. Do not worry. --B.”
