The Silver Knights - “Death from Above”      The Silver Knights are an elite special operations force commanded by Sterling Mortloch.  It is an all volunteer force getting its members from the military, royal guard or constable.  To volunteer to become a member of the unit you must currently serve Argent in some military or law enforcement role.  They are an aerial strike force that can attack by day or night.      In conjunction with the Navy, the Silver Knights rely on dirigibles. A 14 member strike force is deployed on one of four dirigibles: Silver, Copper, Gold or Bronze unit.  The 14 member group comprises of: 1 Navy pilot, 1 Defense Mage, 1 Strike Leader, 2 Snipers, 9 knights.  The 9 knights all are sniper trained and fire rifles when in the dirigible, but they are also deployable.  On the ground they carry small assault rifles (to think period, think of a Tommy gun with a shorter barrel and folding stock) and an assortment of blades.  Of the 9 member unit, one is the “radio man”, two are demolition experts, and two are medical specialist.  They also use a combination mage-tech night-vision goggles developed with the help of Merlin.      The complete unit consists of: 4 dirigibles, 56 Knights, 10 reserve Knights, Knight Commander – Kevin McBride (2nd in command), Weapons and Training Officer, Knight Sergeant Mike Kirby, 15 support and administrative personnel and Knight General Sterling Mortloch.      The dirigibles have some armor plating and a special liquid in the gas to seal up punctures.  They are also equipped with a 2 front and 2 rear spot lights (mage-tech) if needed for night assaults and they are painted black.  When the knights deploy, they do so by zip lines thrown off the sides.      Uniform: Black BDU’s and black skull caps in the field and Black Dress with silver highlights and white berets dress uniform. Insignia: A silver profile of a horse with crosses rifles. The Silver Knights train for special needs.  Day to day military and police activity does not concern them. Their job is to do the dirty work and when they go in; prisoners are not expected unless it is the purpose of the mission.  They work with information gained by the intelligence agency of Argent, the military and the constable to seek out terrorist type groups working against the good of Argent or on special hunting trips to diminish the demon and vampire (unwanted) populations. They work with Kei and her hunters to give aerial support and to drop troops behind the lines when necessary.  The Silver Knights goal is to remain small and thus not be a political threat to any one group.
