USAF Stargate Debriefs
Mission One:  Seg. 013

The massive ring began it’s hum and thrash routine signaling that something or someone was inbound. Culminating in the massive plume of pseudo-water exploding into the shadowy interior of the chamber. Seconds after it settled back to it’s calm state, an uneven oval spilt the rippled surface for a fraction of a second and the small, roundish, figure of a human male popped out.

Landing firmly upon his buttocks, the figure slid across the sandy floor for several feet while performing a half turn, ending up looking back at the aperture he had just been ejected from. The sparkles of frost were already starting to melt in his bushy beard as he shook his head to clear the fuzziness, “Damn...I wonder if OSHA knows about this...”

His faded-blue eyes widened in wonder as he slowly scanned his surroundings.

A USAF uniform peeked out from under the rugged cloak when the man  Jake brought in sat up, coughing weakly.  "Sir?" Jeffrey asked, gesturing at the coughing man, at the same time as Anastoff said:  "Another airman?"

Von  Deling turned on his heels to regard the latest addition to his team.  He wasn't impressed by what he saw and didn't bother to hide it. Where they running so low on able soldiers that they started sending middleaged men now?  No, there must be another reason for this man's being here.

"Why didn't he come through with you, Airman Smith?"   The officer didn't turn to look at Jeffrey, there was still an icy quality to his tone.

"I don't know, sir.  He must have come later."  Jeffrey peered at the latest arrival curiously before remembering himself.  "Sir."  Jake unscrewed his waterbottle and handed it to the new arrival on a  nod from Von Deling.

Finally having moisture in his mouth again, Ian spit mud on the ground. Meanwhile Dr Phillips was trying to explain Quacho'tl that they weren't the forerunners of an invading force, even though their numbers were increasing steadily.  "No no, not 'chiancateh', ne chiancate."  Quacho'tl's spirit wasn't really in it, though, as he exchanged looks with the young man who came in with Ian, apparently his son.

Alvira posed the question that was foremost in most everyone's thoughts. "Who are you anyway?"

"I'm Ian, Ian Devlin.  It's nice to meet you in person, Dr Kane."
