:: Dr. Zimmerman leads Agoyr through sick bay to Talt’s Office.  Agoyr rings the door chime. ::

[Talt] * from inside * “Come in.”

::Agoyr walks in, leaving the EMHP standing in the hallway.::

[Zimmerman] “Well, I’ll just be about my business, then.” :: The door closes. ::

[Agoyr] “Good morning, Doctor.  I am Lt. Chan Agoyr, reporting for my standard Starfleet psychological evaluation.”

::Lieutenant Talt looks up, a momentary look of distraction clouding her gray eyes.  With a quick shake of her head, she focuses on the young man before her.  A smile warms her face.::

[Talt] “ Lieutenant, just the man I was hoping to see.  I’m having a terrible time with these cases.  But first . . .”

:: Lt. Talt turns away before Agoyr can respond and starts rooting around on her makeshift desk.  A quick survey of her office paints quite a picture.  There are a number of various sized packing crates stacked up in the corner of the office.  Some of them are half-open and spilling out a wide variety of items.  Datapads, antiques, holo-cubes and a large number of brightly colored fabric somethings drape over the crates. ::

[Agoyr] ~~She is obviously unprepared for this morning’s meeting.  I wonder if I should offer to come back later?~~

:: Lt. Talt's desk is likewise cluttered and jumbled with things teetering dangerously near the desk edge.  Among the datapads and scarves on her desk, Lieutenant Agoyr can spot a Klingon D'K Tahg, a small metal flute, a stuffed doll, a miniature of an Excalibur class starship, two silver enameled plates, a copper and silver necklace with a large tear-dropped shaped pendant, a small fern in clay pot, three small books, and a small statue of a wooden horse.  There are a number of other items too obscured by the general clutter to make out. ::

[Talt] “Where are they?  Where are they?”

:: Lieutenant Talt mutters to herself as she searches through the clutter.  Her actions disturb the jumble and several items drop off her desk onto the gray carpeted floor. ::

[Agoyr]~~Look out!~~::Agoyr cringes, anticipating the sound of breaking fragiles...but it does not come.::

:: Mirifice glances briefly at the fallen junk, shrugs, and continues with her search.  After a few seconds, she finds what she’s looking for and turns back to Lieutenant Agoyr.   Proudly displayed in her hands is a medium blue sized plate holding 6 large cookies. ::

[Talt] “Would you like a cookie, Lieutenant?  I replicated them from my own recipe.”

:: Lieutenant Talt smiles up at Agoyr cheerfully. ::

[Agoyr] “Why, thank you, Doctor.  That is most kind.”  Agoyr gingerly takes a cookie.  “After the Trappist ale last night and your cookies today, I may have to intensify my exercise regimen to keep off unwanted pounds.”

::Agoyr munches on the cookie and looks around the room.::

[Agoyr] “Listen, Doctor, if this is a bad time...”

:: Talt’s eyes follow Lieutenant Agoyr’s around the room and she looks a little dismayed.  Then, she cheers up. ::

*Agoyr worries that he’s hurt her feelings, then is glad she is not upset.*

[Talt]  “Well, yes.  I suppose I am a little unorganized.  Lieutenant, I hate to be a bother.  But - if you have nothing else to do - could you give me a hand here?  I’m afraid I’ve totally overestimated the size of my office and some of this . . .” :: Lt.  Talt will wave her hand airily at the room around her.:: “is just not going to fit.  Would you help me with the things on the desk, please?”

[Agoyr] “I would be happy to assist you, Doctor.  As long as we conduct the psych evaluation afterward.  Captain Dyzek ordered me to report for the evaluation, and I do not intend to disregard my first order from my new commander.”  ::Agoyr bends down and picks up the two silver enameled plates, inspecting them for damage.  “Where would you like these to go?”

::  Talt scoops a large armful of scarves off of the desk and places them on a nearby chair.  She indicates an open plasteel crate in the corner with her chin. ::

[Talt]  “In there would be great, Lieutenant, and thank you.  Don’t worry as soon as I get this office settled, I’ll get those evaluations done and turned in.  I certainly don’t want to get in trouble with our Captain either.  But for, right now, . . .”

:: Talt shrugs expressively.  She begins folding the scarves carefully and putting them in an open case near the chair.  After doing a few, she will leave the stack and walk back over to the desk near where Agoyr is working. ::

::Agoyr picks up several other items and packs them carefully in the crate.::

* He particularly likes the miniature of an Excalibur class starship. *

[Agoyr] “Well, it looks like we have a very small crew aboard the Chronos.  We’d better get used to doing things like this for ourselves.  No crewmen or green ensigns to order around.”  :: Agoyr comes to the Klingon D'K Tahg.  He reverently wraps it in a blood-red scarf, then places it in the crate. ::

[Chan]~~She’d better hope a Klingon never sees her treat a D’K Tahg like that.  Otherwise the knife might be “added to her collection” in a most unpleasant manner.~~

[Talt] “Lieutenant, I hope you don’t think I’m this disorganized all of the time.  It’s just . . . well this is my first ship-board assignment.  And it looks like I’m already off to a rocky start.  Do you think you could give me some pointers on . . . well, shipboard life?”

[Agoyr] *Surprised* “Really? You’ve never served on a starship before?” ~~And you’re asking _me_ for advice?  You’re far more educated and experienced than me.~~ “Well, shipboard life isn’t really that different from being on a space station, if you’ve served on one of those.  People tend to get close.  Being around the same people all the time, rivalries and friendships and...” *blush* ~~romances~~ “...stuff tend to be very intense.  But you’re an expert in the human condition, so I’m sure you’ll have no problems getting along with the crew.  Which is really the biggest challenge of serving aboard a starship.  The rest is just doing your job.”

:: Talt smiles at Lt. Agoyr.  Just then, a chime from Lt. Talt’s desk goes off. Lt. Talt looks up with a startled expression. ::

[Talt] “Oh my goodness, is it that time already?”

:: She leans over her desk and brushes some of the clutter away to reveal the built-in chronometer.  Then, she looks back up to Agoyr with a sheepish look. ::

[Talt] “Oh, Lieutenant, I AM sorry.  I have another appointment in just a few minutes.  I certainly did not mean to waste your time chatting.  Do you think I could call you later and re-schedule your psych evaluation?  And then maybe, sometime, when we’re a little more settled we can discuss shipboard relationships some more?”

:: Talt then blushes, her eyes get comically large and she raises her hand to her cheek.::

::Agoyr blushes furiously.::

*He is in equal parts embarrassed and titillated.  Talt can tell he finds her attractive.*

[Talt] “Oh, my.  That sounded like a pick-up line, which is not what I meant at all.  Excuse me, Lieutenant.  I guess even counselors are subject to Freudian slips.  I’m sorry!”

[Agoyr] ~~Geez, don’t scare me like that!~~  “That is quite all right, Doctor.  I didn’t even notice the slip.” ::Agoyr’s eyes stray to a corner of the room where Dr. Talt’s clothing is piled.:: “Uh, I mean, don’t mention it.”

:: Talt begins to laugh at herself again.::

::Flustered, Agoyr taps his communicator badge.::

[Agoyr] %com% “Lt. Agoyr to Captain Dyzek.  I have attempted to connect with Dr. Talt in her office but she cannot fit me in.”  ::Agoyr gets really rattled and begins to stammer::: “Uh, th-that is, s-sir, could you please note that I m-made the attempt but will have to set another d-date.”

[Agoyr]~~Sh*t!  I can’t stop double-entendre-ing!  Got to get out of here before I embarrass myself any more than I already have!~~

[Agoyr] “Good afternoon, d-doctor.  I will t-talt, um, t-talk to you later.  Bye.”  ::Agoyr flees the room::

*In the hallway.* [Agoyr] ~~Idiot!  You really made a Barclay of yourself!  Sigh.  Oh well, she may not hold it against me.  Damn! I’m doing it again!  aaagh!~~

::Agoyr returns to his quarters and has a cold sonic shower.::
