Victor -
Demon Hunter of Telestra
(casting - Bruce Campbell)
A self-styled
'demon-hunter', Vic and Robin met
when they were accidentally chasing the same prey -- a lothos-snatcher
who had been haunting the outskirts of Arden and then slid through
Shadow to Victor's home world of Telestra. It seemed that the
snatcher has been making a nuisance of itself there before moving up to
the ultimately fatal hunting ground of Arden.
After some initial squabbling about whose prey the
lothos-snatcher was, Victor and Robin made an excellent team to bring
the super-natural predator down. (By the way, Robin will tell you
it was she who landed the deathblow. Victor's story is somewhat
different.)
The young Ranger found herself wandering more and more to Telestra.
After all, Vic was almost always in over his head and could use the
back up. (Which, of course, is not what Vic says.)
After one particularly bloody, grueling and
successful hunt, Robin lost her virginity to the older man -- right
there in the shadows of the battlefield. Something that Robin has
no problem with. But that began to eat away at Victor.
The apparent difference in their physical ages - and
the very real difference in their mental ages - led Victor to feel that
he was cradle robbing. Eventually leading to a tearful break-up
as the demon-hunter reluctantly set his child-lover free while Robin
contemplated painting the Shadow with his bowels. Only her
overwhelming fondness for the great goof kept her from... well,
smacking him around good.
The two remained somewhat awkward friends, keeping them
in contact up until the beginning days of the Shadow War. Robin
has no idea how her 'demon-hunting' friend has fared in the wake of the
Black Road. And is a little afraid to find out.
