Dodge - Houndmaster of Arden

Dodge has been the
undisputed expert on Julian's Hounds for all of
Robin's life. The tall, rough-hewn Ranger has also been a friend
for most of Robin's life. In fact, Dodge has been a friend to
almost everyone in the Rangers for most of their lives. Only a
very few
of the oldest Rangers -- and of course, Julian himself -- can remember
a time when Dodge wasn't running or wrestling through Arden with his
dogs. Or sitting on the porch of some barracks or other, stinking
up the wind
with that pipe of his. And just exuding the type of mellow calm
that
made one want nothing more than to sit a bit and watch the sunset.
It was to Dodge that Rattle sent the young Robin to for her first training sessions outside The Mews. And if Dodge ever noticed a significant difference between the daughter of the Warden of Arden and a high strung hound bitch, her didn't act it. In fact, Dodge is one of the very *very* few senior Rangers from whom Robin accepted physical discipline as a child. Dodge can and has swatted the bottom of Princess of Amber.
Upon her return from the Black Road, it was no surprise for Robin to discover that Dodge had marched down the Black Road with the rest of her friends and her father and Lord. Dodge's absence has only made the hollowness of Arden bitterer to the young Ranger.
