Son of Eric of Amber and ?

BACKGROUND

Name 3 people that your character feels close to and why.
1.     His dead father Eric. Because he came forward and sponsored Nero even though he was an illegitmate child.
2.     Julian, because he was trusted by Eric and has felt like a replacement
father to him (though he still doesn’t fully trust him…..
3.     No one else really. Though he does show loyalty to his household, it is the loyalty that a father would show a child; he’s willing to punish them sevearly if they bring him dishonor.

Name 3 people your character considers enemies and why.
1.     Nur – he was the one on the shadow Telluria that imprisoned Nero and took away his sorcery and conjuring ability.
2.     Comp – on the technosavy shadow earth, this was the machine that
originally helped Nero discover his Amberite heritage. As part of the experiment, the computer was fused with part of Nero’s abilities, and now Comp has discovered how to jump shadows. Comp believes that Nero is the only example out there of another being who can jump shadow and wants him dead so that he will have dominance in this area.
3.     Almost any member of the amber royal family. Not because they are
actively doing anything against him, but he understands that in their eyes he is just a tool; the same way that beings in shadow are just tools to Nero.

PHYSICAL

Describe your character’s favorite clothing styles for different occasions
and why they like them:
1. Going along with his regimented lifestyle, he always wears the same
clothes, though for special occations he does put on robes with more gold
embroidery.
2. He always wears robes from the waist down, though they can be pulled up over his shoulders if needed.

Describe a few signature behaviors of your character:
1. He appraises people in the back ground (servers, taxi drivers, etc…) and will barter for their sale to him; he’s always trying to get a better household.
2. He’s a pipe smoker and often changes the tabacco in his pipe as an excuse to change the subject or end a conversation.

What are your character’s hobbies?
1.     Hobbies? As in what he enjoys doing in his spare time? Or just what he ends up doing?
2.     The indoor sports of pipe collecting, gambling, and drinking.
3.     The outdoor sports of survivalist training, swordsmanship, running, and zen archery (though he hates running, he feels like he has to keep it up).

What is your character’s favorite physical environment?
In his library, near the cliffs on the water. He likes to be alone, but safe and with lots of space, yet still with noise in the background to know he’s not alone.

What is your character’s favorite cultural environment and why?
Any pre-tech. He believes that tech has taken away a person’s agency and prefers to be around people who aren’t warped with laziness.

PSYCHOLOGICAL

What is something that your character would never do and why?
RELAX. He is unable to. Some need to do ‘more’ always keeps him up. He suffers from insomnia.

What is something that your character does as often as possible and why?
Stay out of amberite politics. It’s apparent that too many people get hurt. And, with his own experiences in trying to rule, there are just too many variables to keep track of.

Describe something your character respects:
1.     The ability to admit defeat (to Nero….)
2.     To actually go to the trouble to learn a skill to a masterful level.
3.     Those who have the capacity to provide for themselves.

Describe something that your character holds in contempt:
Laziness. Wasting time. Even for immortals he sees this as a crime.

What makes your character laugh?
Most things. Though he laughs to himself. He believes that people make jokes of themselves in not using the days that they have.

Describe one of your character’s nightmares:
Having all the parts to a puzzle and directions to put it together, but no matter what he tries all the parts don’t go together, or they do but there are some parts left over (he’d be stuck trying again and again with no success. He’s not a perfectionist, but……)

What does your character want out of life?
To become in his own eyes an Amberite that is worthy of respect and rulership. To be king of Amber.

How would your character describe the perfect death?
Old age,…..to die on the throne.

What would your character’s epitaph read?
The One, Great King of amber. May his legacy weigh heavily on those that come next.
