Charming young man, at least according to Mrs. Mechelle Otis, who has succumbed to his charms at least once on the trip to Daedalus. Son of Susan Navarro.

Charismatic leader of a monotheistic cult, which may still have followers laying low in the Colonies, even after a year-long silence.

Notes: Former top-selling real estate agent, married 18 years ago at age 23 to then-councilman Cletus Mason. They have one daugher, Tammy, age 17. Active in society circles. Although she doesn't pretend to understand politics - publicly - she is visibly very supportive and "helpful" to her husband. Behind every great man is a woman, ordering the table linens.

Notes: Oldest Commander in the Colonial Fleet. Authoritative grandfather figure to the crew. Always has a ready smile and a good word - until he needs to take you to the wood shed. Has commanded Promethea since its commisioning six years ago. Used to be an accomplished oil painter. A night shift officer or insomniac crewmember might spy Titus walking the decks of the Promethea in the wee hours of the morning, like a restless monarch pacing the midnight ramparts on the eve of battle.

Notes: Akre is a stocky Asian man in his mid-fifties, an ex-military non-com who seems to take things on their face value. If it's in the manual, that's the way it's going to be, by the gods, and don't confuse the issue with exceptions. Stop whining and get back to work. The most recent example is that the scheduled resupply ships are now two days overdue. He's informed the station that a data packet says they should be here within 48 hours, so we sit and wait, by the gods. Get back to work.

Notes: A tall (5'11") athletic woman in her late thirties with dark blonde hair. Lead scientist of the team studying soliton gasses in the nebula, a plum posting by the standards of academia. Capable of great grace and graciousness, Dr. Kaige shows a vicious tenacity against those who get on her bad side. Rumors link her romantically with Administrator Akre. These are most likely lies borne of jealousy, or stem from the observed fact that Akre and Kaige butt heads like ex-spouses.

Role: Wife of Assistant Administrator Leland Otis. Youngest daughter of Zotic and Demeter Polykarpos, a rich vineyard-owning family from a small village in Tauron. Once met - and spilled a glass of Lemino dry red wine on - Quorum representative Cletus Mason when he and wife Thea visited to "honor" the award-winning vintages of the region. Older sisters married mostof the eligible bachelors in the countryside. Mechelle settled on Leland Otis, whom her family approved of as a traditional young man. Mechelle convinced herself that he was also strong, dynamic, and visionary.
